✨ Undo lip filler that has gone wrong — lumps, migration, or simply too much — and get back to your natural lip.
How it works:
An enzyme is injected that breaks down hyaluronic acid filler into tiny sugars your body absorbs and clears away. It literally dissolves the gel holding the volume.
Who it's for:
- Anyone with lumpy, uneven, or overfilled lips from previous filler
- People whose filler has spread beyond the lip border
- Those wanting a complete reset before starting fresh
The benefits:
- Removes unwanted volume permanently
- Flattens lumps and smooths irregularities
- Brings lips back to their natural shape
- Creates a clean slate for future work if wanted
- Works within hours, not weeks
What's included:
- Full consultation and filler history review
- Allergy patch test on your forearm (20-30 minutes)
- Precise enzyme injections across the treated area
- 30-minute observation period after for safety
- Follow-up check if a second session is needed
What to expect:
- Usually 1 session; a second at 2-3 weeks if any filler remains
- Swelling starts immediately and peaks at 24-48 hours
- Result is permanent — the dissolved filler is gone for good
💡 This is the only way to fully reverse hyaluronic acid filler — there is no cream or massage that can do what this enzyme does.
Common questions
Is there any downtime?
You'll have noticeable swelling for about 24 to 48 hours, and it can look quite dramatic at the peak. Most people find they want to lay low for a day or two, though you can get on with quiet activities. Bruising at the injection points can hang around for up to a week.
Does it hurt?
It stings and burns more than having filler put in — most people rate it around a 5 out of 10. We use numbing cream to take the edge off, and the enzyme itself contains some anaesthetic too.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people need one session, though a second at two to three weeks is sometimes needed if any filler remains. If you're planning to have new filler put in afterwards, it's worth allowing at least two weeks after dissolving so everything has settled.
How long do the results last?
You'll start seeing the filler reduce within a few hours, and it's at its most settled after about 48 hours. The result is permanent — the dissolved filler is gone and will not come back.
Are there any side effects?
Significant swelling is very common and actually expected — it peaks at 24 to 48 hours and then settles. You may also have bruising, redness, and tenderness at the injection points. Allergic reactions are rare but possible, which is why we do a patch test first and keep you for observation afterwards. There's also a small risk of infection from any injection.
Before your appointment
- Tell Bella about any allergies, especially to bee or wasp stings
- Avoid blood thinners like aspirin or ibuprofen for 3 days before — bruising shows more
- No alcohol for 24 hours beforehand
- Come with clean lips, no makeup or lip products
- Bring details of your previous filler — brand and date if you know them
- Eat normally and stay hydrated — no fasting needed
After your treatment
- Expect significant swelling for 24-48 hours — this is normal and peaks day two
- No makeup on your lips for 24 hours
- Avoid touching or pressing on the area
- Skip alcohol, gym, and extreme heat for 48 hours
- Sleep with your head slightly raised the first night
- Bruising at injection points can last 2-7 days — arnica cream helps
- Contact the clinic immediately if you notice hives, itching, or breathing difficulty
Do not book if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have a known allergy to hyaluronidase or bee/wasp stings
- You have an active cold sore or infection on or around your lips
- You have certain autoimmune conditions — check with Bella first
- You take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder
- You have had a granulomatous reaction to filler before
- Your previous filler was not hyaluronic acid — this enzyme only works on that type
