- Lip Fillers
✨ The biggest single-session transformation for lips that want to be noticed.
How it works:
Hyaluronic acid is injected to physically add volume and draw water into the lip tissue, building noticeable size and a crisper border while the gel holds the new shape.
Who it's for:
- Anyone wanting a dramatic, full-lip look rather than subtle enhancement
- Thin or flat lips that need significant size to balance the face
- Those who have had filler before and know they want maximum result
The benefits:
- Noticeable volume increase in one appointment
- Sharper lip border and better definition
- Correction of unevenness or asymmetry
- Results that can last up to a year
- Freedom from daily over-lining with makeup
What's included:
- Numbing cream applied before we start
- 1.5ml of premium filler placed with needle or cannula
- Shaping massage to refine the result
- Review appointment offered at 2 to 4 weeks if needed
What to expect:
- One session of 1.5ml, or split into two smaller visits if you prefer to build gradually
- Immediate plumping that looks dramatic at first
- True settled result visible after 2 to 4 weeks
- Lasts 6 to 12 months depending on product and your metabolism
💡 This is the maximum volume we place in a single visit — expect people to notice, and plan a quiet weekend while the swelling settles.
Common questions
Is there any downtime?
You'll have noticeable swelling for two to three days, with the first 24 to 48 hours being the most dramatic, and any bruising usually fades within a week. Most people carry on with work but schedule socially around it.
Does it hurt?
It's quite manageable — we apply numbing cream first, and the filler itself contains lidocaine so the lips go numb as we work. Most people describe it as pressure and a stinging sensation rather than sharp pain.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people need one session of 1.5ml, with a review at two to four weeks if any adjustment is wanted. If you have a wedding or big event coming up, start at least four weeks beforehand so everything has settled in time.
How long do the results last?
You'll see the result straight away, though it looks dramatic at first, and the true settled result is visible after about two to four weeks. From there it typically lasts six to twelve months depending on the product used and how quickly your body breaks it down.
Are there any side effects?
You can expect swelling, redness, tenderness and some bruising where the needle went in, and the lips may feel lumpy or look uneven for a few days while everything settles. Cold sores can be triggered in people who have had them before, and there is a small risk of infection or, very rarely, a blocked blood vessel.
Before your treatment
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before — it thins the blood and increases bruising
- Stop aspirin, ibuprofen and other blood thinners 3 days before unless prescribed
- Come with clean lips — no lipstick, gloss or balm
- If you have ever had cold sores, tell us — we may prescribe antivirals to prevent a flare-up
- Eat something light beforehand — this helps if you feel faint
Aftercare
- Expect significant swelling for 24 to 48 hours — this is normal and peaks early
- Apply arnica cream to help bruising fade faster
- No makeup on the lips for 24 hours
- Avoid alcohol, gym, saunas and hot showers for 48 hours
- No kissing or pressure on the lips for 48 hours
- Attend your review at 2 to 4 weeks if we have booked one
Who it isn’t suitable for
- Do not book if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Active cold sores or any lip infection — wait until fully healed
- Allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
- Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medication unless discussed first
- Autoimmune conditions affecting the skin or connective tissue
- Previous permanent filler in the lips
- History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis
