- Semi-Permanent Eyeliner
✨ Wake up with perfectly defined eyes every day — no smudging, no running, no time spent drawing it on.
How it works:
A fine digital needle deposits hypoallergenic pigment into the skin along your upper and lower lash lines, where it stays visible through the surface as permanent colour that gradually fades over years.
Who it's for:
- Anyone tired of eyeliner that disappears by lunchtime
- People who struggle with shaky hands or poor eyesight for precise makeup
- Active lives — swimming, gym, sleeping — where normal liner fails
- Those with makeup allergies who still want defined eyes
The benefits:
- Waterproof, smudge-proof definition that never runs
- Balanced, framed eyes that look more open and awake
- No more daily drawing — saves minutes every morning
- Wakes you up looking polished even bare-faced
- Corrects sparse lash lines and asymmetry
What's included:
- Full colour and shape consultation
- Topical anaesthetic before and during
- Digital micropigmentation on both upper and lower lids
- Protective aftercare applied immediately
- Mandatory perfection session 4 to 8 weeks later
What to expect:
- Two sessions total: initial treatment plus perfection visit
- Colour appears immediately but will be 30 to 40% darker than final result
- True colour settles after 7 to 14 days of healing
- Result lasts 1 to 3 years, with colour boosts recommended every 12 to 18 months
💡 This is the most popular complete eye option — full framing in one healing cycle.
Common questions
Is there any downtime?
You can go back to work straight away, but your eyes will look puffy for a day or two and the colour will be quite dark before it settles. Most people find it manageable with sunglasses, and the flaking and lightening happens over the first week.
Does it hurt?
It's quite manageable — we use numbing cream before and throughout, so most people describe it as a heavy ticklish vibration or light scratching rather than anything sharp. The eyelid skin is thin and responds well to anaesthetic.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a course of two sessions: your initial treatment today, then a mandatory perfection session 4 to 8 weeks later. If you have a wedding or big event coming up, it's worth starting at least 12 weeks beforehand so everything is healed and settled in time.
How long do the results last?
You'll see colour immediately, though it will be darker than the final result at first. The true colour shows through after about 7 to 14 days once healing completes, and it's fully settled by your perfection session at 6 to 8 weeks. From there it typically lasts 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type and how you care for it.
Are there any side effects?
You can expect redness, swelling and some tenderness straight after, and possibly light bruising if your skin is thin. The colour will look very dark at first, then flake and appear too light before it settles. Infection and allergic reactions are rare, and there is a small risk of dry eye if the waterline is treated.
Before your treatment
- Remove all eyelash extensions at least 3 days before
- Stop using lash-growth serums (like RevitaLash) 4 weeks prior
- Remove contact lenses before your appointment
- Bring glasses if you normally wear contacts — you cannot wear lenses for 48 hours after
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before — it thins the blood
- Come with clean, makeup-free eyes
Aftercare
- Eyes will be puffy for 24 to 48 hours — this is normal
- No mascara or eye makeup for 7 days — infection risk is serious
- No contact lenses for 48 to 72 hours after treatment
- No swimming, saunas or steam rooms for 2 weeks
- Do not pick or rub the flaking skin during healing
- Expect colour to look very dark, then flake and lighten, before settling
Who it isn’t suitable for
- Do not book if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Do not book with an active eye infection or inflammation
- Wait 3 to 6 months after eye surgery such as LASIK or cataract removal
- Do not book if you have a history of keloid or raised scarring
- Do not book if you have uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune conditions affecting healing
- Do not book if you have eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis around the eyes
- Do not book if you take blood-thinning medication without medical clearance
- Do not book if you have a history of dry eye or meibomian gland problems
How it compares
✅ Compared with Top or Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session)
- What it treats — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) treats both upper and lower lash lines together in one session; Top or Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) treats either your upper or lower lash line, not both.
- How your eyes look afterwards — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) gives you balanced, complete framing from day one, so your eyes don't look half-finished; Top or Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) treats one area, so you may want to use regular makeup on the other lid until you're ready for the second session.
- Healing and downtime — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) means one healing cycle - you get all the swelling and flaking over with in a single appointment, rather than going through it twice; Top or Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) means healing one area at a time, so you go through the swelling and dark colour stage twice if you later decide to do the other lid.
- Best for — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) is best if you want full eye definition and are ready for the commitment of both lids together; Top or Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) is best if you want to trial the look first, or only need one area treated.
- Choose this if you want full eye definition and are ready for the commitment; choose single-lid if you want to trial the look or only need one area treated
✅ Compared with Eyeliner Colour Boost (6-12 Months)
- Primary purpose — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) establishes the tattoo - this is the initial pigment deposit that creates your baseline; Eyeliner Colour Boost (6-12 Months) merely refreshes what is already there.
- How much pigment is implanted — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) implants more pigment to account for healing fade; Eyeliner Colour Boost (6-12 Months) adds roughly 60 to 70% of that amount.
- Who it's for — Top & Bottom Eyeliner (1st Session) is for anyone who has never had eyeliner tattooed before; Eyeliner Colour Boost (6-12 Months) is only for people who have already completed their initial course.
- Choose this if you have never had eyeliner tattooed before; choose the 6-12 month boost only after you have completed your initial course
